Network Solutions And Technology (NST), an IT company operating out of Long Island, is thrilled to be celebrating its 20th anniversary as a company this year. Over two decades of experience in serving New York business owners have allowed NST to grow into a leading tech provider for a variety of industries.
“To think of where we are today versus how we started — you want to pat yourself on the back, but at the same time you want to keep going,” says Will Collins, President, NST.
Founded in 2001, NST’s mission is to deliver innovative IT services, cloud computing, and security solutions that match the right technologies to the client’s specific industry and business strategy. What began as a pet project for two childhood friends (founders Matt Brown and Will Collins) has developed into an active and growing leader in the industry, with more than 70 employees, and clients in 33 states across the country.
“As we eclipse 70 employees, we start to build out executive teams and run more of a mature business,” says Collins. “As we’ve gone along, changing roles and relinquishing control has been difficult, but it’s also been the reason we continue to grow.”
NST’s founders know that their success over these past twenty years is due in large part to the relationship they’ve built with their clients. By taking the time to get to know their clients, and understand their business and their goals, the NST team was better prepared to help them succeed. The client’s success, in turn, supported NST’s success.
“The relationship that we have with a small business owner is a much more intimate relationship because you’re really helping them with their business,” says Matt Brown, Vice President, NST. “That’s definitely one of the key things I’ve learned over these twenty years in business.”
In addition to growing as a result of their quality of service, NST has also continuously sought new opportunities to expand through mergers and acquisitions. Beyond allowing them to develop their client base, these mergers and acquisitions gave NST access to new IT resources and expanded their reach into new markets in other states across the country.
